I have a strong belief that therapy can help people begin to heal from their pain and go on to live happier, more fulfilled lives. I have a passion for working with people who have experienced trauma, grief, bereavement, who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, shame, and depression. Therapy is about joining in a relationship in a safe, non-judgmental space where you can work on healing from old wounds and present troubles. My approach to counseling centers on the belief that by working through traumatic events or losses, you can come to a place of greater peace and fulfillment, and that the present, though different, can still be good.
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. I have a Bachelor of Social Work from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and received my Master of Arts in Counseling at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin Texas. I've lived in Texas for the past twenty years.
